Andrew Wilkes said: “Harwood Hutton is a high-quality professional services firm with a long-standing track record of giving clients the best possible tax advice and accountancy solutions.

“Harwood Hutton’s approach of providing a fully supportive, personal service and building long-standing relationships with clients is very much in line with our culture at Evelyn Partners.”

Wilkes added the acquisition would help grow the number of business and private clients to which Evelyn Partners provides its professional services.

“The deal will give us an office location in the Thames Valley and allows us to work with even more clients in the region,” he added.

Established in 1957, Harwood Hutton’s 70-strong team provides clients with a range of personal and business tax and accountancy services and has particular expertise working with owner-managed, entrepreneurial businesses.

Harwood Hutton director Kier Singleton said: “We are proud of what we have created at Harwood Hutton and especially of our dynamic people, who add value to our entrepreneurial clients.

“There is a great cultural fit with Evelyn Partners, with both firms focused on understanding the needs of their clients and delivering a highly personalised service.

“We are pleased to be joining Evelyn Partners and his will help us deliver an increasingly impressive range of services to help our people and our clients succeed.”

In November, Evelyn Partners bought Creaseys Group.

It also bought Leathers LLP in February, snapped up Ashcroft Partnership LLP in April, bought Dart Capital in June, and carried out a deal with PPM Wealth in June.

Additionally, earlier this year, Evelyn Partners completed a transaction with KPMG UK which saw a leading international disputes team join its Forensic Services practice.
