The Personal Finance Society has written to students inviting them to become members of the organisation.
In an email seen by FTAdviser, the PFS wrote: “As you’re currently studying with us, we’d like to invite you to become a member of the Personal Finance Society and waive the £37 admission fee, where applicable.
“Whether your goal is working towards being a financial planner, a paraplanner, an investment specialist or another role within the profession, there's never been a better time to join our community.”
PFS membership starts from £7 per month and offers discounts on exams, study materials and recognition of prior learning to help with professional development.
The membership types include:
- Ordinary membership for £84 per year: For holders of a CII Award qualification or no CII qualification
- Certificate membership for £140 a year: For holders of a CII Certificate qualification
- Diploma membership for £190 a year: For holders of the CII Diploma in Insurance
- Associate membership for £200 a year: For holders of the CII Advanced Diploma in Insurance
- Fellowship for £215 a year: For completers of the CII Fellowship Programme
- Chartered for £245 a year: For holders of A.Dip with 5 year's sector experience
FTAdviser understands this is part of a 'student to member' campaign that the PFS has run several times before.
It is intended for those studying with the PFS who have not previously been a member.
