Schroders Personal Wealth opens Leeds office

Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) has opened an office in Leeds as it looks to grow its presence across the UK.

The office will be located in City Square in the city centre, and will act as the regional hub to serve SPW’s client base in Yorkshire and the North East.

As with its other regional hubs, Leeds will be led by a regional director who is supported by a team of personal wealth advisers and a local support team.

SPW’s head office in London will continue to serve its London client base.

Mark Duckworth, chief executive at Schroders Personal Wealth, said: “The opening of our Leeds office shows our continued commitment to growing our business across the UK.

“We already have a number of well-established regional offices helping us to achieve our goal of bringing more advice to more people.

“Expanding our regional presence will ensure that our clients can benefit from a more personal and local experience, allowing them to develop strong relationships with our advisers and support teams within the region.”

SPW has recently established offices and hubs in Cardiff, Bristol, Horsham, Cambridge, Oxford, Edinburgh, Exeter and Manchester. An office in Birmingham is due to open in October.

The firm said its new offices formed part of SPW’s long-term regional growth strategy to increase its presence across the UK.

In May, Duckworth told FTAdviser he has "a record of growing businesses" from his time at Openwork.

In July the firm also launched its first range of portfolio funds for its advised clients.
