The next steps

The lenders, UK finance and the FCA have committed to implementing the full charter at pace and will “move quickly” over the coming days and months to implement it, aiming to provide the government with an update on progress by June 30.

It was also announced that participating mortgage lenders, led by UK Finance, will be launching a communications campaign to ensure customers know what to expect if they need support from their lender.
