Consumer duty 'shining a light' on poor execution of other rules

As reported exclusively by FTAdviser, the body will be an independent, not-for-profit entity to support advisers and their clients and to boost the professionalism of financial services. 

Robin Melley, one of the board members of the CDA, said: "This is a pivotal moment for the industry and we will look back on this day as the moment things changed. This new body will help our profession gain parity of esteem with others, such as solicitors and medical professionals."
