Seven insurance and financial planning firms have achieved chartered status over September and October, the Chartered Insurance Institute has announced.
This included Augustine Limited, a London based firm led by Richard Read; Avoca Wealth Management Ltd, a Scottish firm specialising in pensions, protection, and savings; and Better Financial Planning, a retirement planning IFA.
Additionally, Park Insurance, which is based in Bristol and Sedulo Wealth Management, based in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, and London, also achieved chartered status.
Adding to the list was SGM Financial Management Ltd, an IFA based in Lincolnshire; and Suttons Independent Financial Advisers Ltd, advisers with offices in Manchester and Sale.
CII president, Ian Callaghan, said: “We are delighted to welcome these seven firms into our chartered community.
“In achieving corporate chartered status, they have each made a public declaration to professional standards, and committed to upholding the chartered ethos of nurturing knowledge, client centricity, and serving society.
“Corporate chartered status is a key component in building public trust and a true mark of professionalism.
“We look forward to working alongside these firms to deliver good customer outcomes and best practice.”
Corporate chartered status involves a public declaration to professional standards that contains a series of commitments that are made openly and transparently, in public view.
The chartered ethos details the commitments the CII makes to chartered firms, and the commitments they make to the public.
