Housing association targets parents with shared ownership campaign

“A huge positive for a buyer today is if they only purchase 50 per cent now and we see property values fall like some analysts have predicted, the buyer would be able to staircase at the valuation in the future, not the price they paid for today,” he said.

Earlier this year, research found that there was limited awareness of affordable housing options among young adults. 

But once schemes like shared ownership were explained to 18-30 year olds, interest jumped by as much as 50 per cent.
