Intermediaries will now be able to submit further advance and porting applications using The Mortgage Works Online, subject to eligibility and lending criteria.
There will also be the facility to upload documentation to TMW Online, meaning brokers will no longer have to email, fax or post the relevant proofs.
Advisers will also be able to download case documents online, including the decision in principle, when the application has been accepted.
Case tracking will also be improved, and intermediaries will be able to receive alerts giving updates on the progress of their cases.
In addition, there will also be the option for an office administrator to monitor and respond on behalf of the broker as the case progresses.
Ian Andrew, managing director of Nationwide’s Group intermediary sales, said: “We have listened and responded to feedback from intermediaries wanting to be able to access and send case information and documentation online.
“This is part of an ongoing programme of improvements that should enhance the broker experience and enable cases to be processed more quickly.”
All active pipeline cases in TMW Online and TMW MTE will automatically have alert preferences set to weekly and can be changed by the intermediary on log-in.
Case activity and outstanding requirements will be updated in the case summary screen of TMW online.
Pipeline applications will not need to be reprocessed.
When asked what he thought of the changes to TMW’s online systems, Danny Matthews, Cirencester-based broker and founder of Advisers Edge, said: “It is about time.
“This will give back advisers lots of their time.”
