Virgin Money has added a newly designed pension to its digital platform offering.

The direct to consumer platform was launched in April 2023, in partnership with FNZ.

The pension addition, announced today (December 20), includes two options named 'navigator' and self-drive' which allow customers to take control of their pensions.

Virgin Money is also helping customers combine existing pensions into one.

Jonathan Byrne, CEO at Virgin Money Investments, said: “We’re delighted to have launched a new pension proposition - giving customers the confidence to plan for a brighter retirement and feel in control of their money.

"Planning for the future should feel straightforward. That's why we’ve designed our new pension to simplify the path to financial security.”

Virgin Money stated it chose FNZ as its partner due to its state-of-the-art technology and "track record of complex platform implementations".

Alastair Conway, FNZ CEO UK, Middle East and Africa, added: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with Virgin Money on the launch of the new pension offering.

"Our partnership reflects our joint commitment to transforming the landscape of wealth management, helping everyone, everywhere invest in their future on their own terms."

The platform is open available to investors from the new to the experienced and offers Isas or general investment accounts.

Investments through the platform are managed online and via a dedicated app.
