Brexit-backing fund manager bets against UK assets

Mr Odey’s view is that quantitative easing has had a deflationary impact on the economy, and if it ends, the UK would see a sharp rise in inflation. Higher inflation is bad for assets such as government bonds because the value of the income they pay falls. 

Odey Asset Management were approached for comment but declined.
