So I contacted my BDM again and asked if there was any way we could appeal, luckily she agreed with my calculations and workings out and was able to pass this on to their head of underwriting to look at. 

It was then passed to a senior underwriter who assessed and offered the case on June 9.

Suffice to say, it was an emotional rollercoaster of an application, but luckily we got there in the end.
