Fintel, the parent company of Defaqto and SimplyBiz, has agreed to buy Threesixty Services from Abrdn.

Threesixty provides compliance and business support services to more than 900 advisers and wealth managers.

Neil Stevens, joint CEO of Fintel, said: "We believe that Fintel is the natural home for the Threesixty team and clients.

"We have been committed to supporting professional advice firms for over 20 years, and our group aims to operate the strongest independent brands and most prestigious services, software and data offerings in the market.”

The deal has been conditionally agreed for an undisclosed sum.

Earlier this year, Stevens told FT Adviser acquisitions were part of a desire to become a 'one stop shop' for advisers.

In January it bought platform Owen James Events in a deal worth £2.3mn.

This was followed by the purchase of fintech provider IFA Dash in March

In May, Fintel launched FintelIQ, a connected tech and workflow platform to save advisers time.

The technology company said advisers, on average, use nine pieces of software in their advice process, all with separate login details.
