Keith Dyson Financial Consultancy was founded by former Newcastle United player Keith Dyson, who has provided pensions, life assurance and investment advice for 30 years.

He said: “I was particularly impressed by the scale and ambition of Newcastle Financial Advisers Limited, as well as its commitment to and focus on building long-term relationships with clients, and knowledge and understanding of the products in the market.

“While other banks and building societies are closing branches, Newcastle Building Society is growing and investing in theirs.

"For my clients, Newcastle Financial Advisers Limited’s footprint means more locations for them to access in-person financial advice services, and I am confident they will be well looked after under the new ownership.”

Ian Lightfoot, managing director of Newcastle Financial Advisers, added: “Dyson’s clients will benefit from continued advice and service via our experienced local advisers who are available face-to-face on high streets across Newcastle Building Society’s branch network, and also remotely via video call.

“Customers will also now benefit from our in-house support team who help our advisers in delivering great advice and providing all important ongoing customer service."
