Platforms stand to benefit enormously over time from the recent Budget changes, both from the increased Isa allowance and from the freeing up of pension savings.
The annuity providers that are hoping for a reversal in their recent, post-Budget sales slump are going to be very disappointed; with annuity purchase compulsion gone, I think a lot of people will agree with my views and annuities will increasingly become a thing of the past.
